This Week's Verse
Week 2 — HOPE
THE WORD — Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD… thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (KJV)
THE MESSAGE
We want to know what happens next. We want answers, timelines and guarantees.
Faith doesn't always give us those things.
Jeremiah 29 reminds us that even when God's people were facing a difficult season, God had not forgotten them. Their circumstances were temporary; God's faithfulness was not.
You may not understand what God is doing right now. You don't have to understand the entire plan to trust the One who does.
THINK ABOUT IT
What situation are you trying to control instead of trusting God with it?
THE CHALLENGE
Identify one thing you've been worrying about. Write it down and intentionally give it to God in prayer every day this week.
THE PRAYER
God, I don't always understand Your plan. Help me trust You when I can't see what comes next. Give me patience, wisdom and confidence that You are still working. Amen.
